Josalyn Smith

Josalyn Smith, MHA, RHIA, CCS, CPC, currently serves as the Director of Billing at United Surgical Partners International, Inc. since May 2022. Previously, Josalyn held the position of Manager of Quality Review & Revenue Integrity at Parkland Hospital from February 2016 to April 2022, overseeing medical billing and coding functions for a team of 14 while optimizing workflows across various departments. Additional experience includes roles as Outpatient Coding Manager at Parkland Hospital, Coding Manager at Nicka and Associates, Coding Specialist at Physician's Choice and Term Billing, and Lead Coder/Charge Entry at Texas Cancer Associates. Josalyn holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington, a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Cincinnati, and an associate degree in Health Information Technology from Midland College.
