Charles Capozzi

Charles Capozzi is currently a Supervisory Patent Examiner at the USPTO, where they apply their extensive experience in determining patentability, USPTO rules and policies, training, and stakeholder engagement. From 2004 to 2009, Charles worked as a Research Scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they developed nanocomposites, authored peer-reviewed publications, and co-invented two U.S. patents, which included exclusive licensing to Samsung. They also contributed to various roles at the USPTO, including Patent Trainer and Primary Examiner, and were a Research Specialist at Rutgers University from 2001 to 2004, conducting research on doped manganese oxide cathode materials. Charles earned a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009.
