Christopher Kaiser is an accomplished Administrative Patent Judge at the USPTO since March 2014, serving on the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and presiding over nearly 400 trials in diverse technology areas such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biotechnology. Prior to this role, Christopher founded a law firm focused on intellectual property law, advising entrepreneurs and startups, and served as an Intellectual Property Litigation Attorney and Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where responsibilities included managing patent and trademark litigation across multiple industries. Legal clerkships at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims provided foundational experience in federal patent law. Earlier engineering roles at Exxon Mobil Corporation and Anvil Corporation involved significant contributions in process design and implementation in the petroleum and semiconductor industries. Christopher holds a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
