Emily Chuo

Emily Chuo is an Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where they have worked since 2006, contributing to various offices including the Office of Policy and International Affairs and the Legal Policy Office. With nineteen years of experience in trademark law, Emily's expertise encompasses trademark examination, domestic and international policy, and the appellate process. Prior to their current role, they served as a Senior Legal Editor at the Bureau of National Affairs and as an Open Source Legal Affairs Officer at the Foreign Broadcast Information Service. Emily has also taught English at the University of Pardubice and is currently pursuing a BA in International Relations and Affairs from Tufts University, a JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and a degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford.
