Heather Rainbow

Heather Rainbow is an accomplished professional with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University. With experience as an Associate Scientist at Pfizer, Heather supported oncology medicinal chemistry through purification and chiral separation of small molecules. In a secondment role as a Technical Writer in Intellectual Property, Heather collaborated with attorneys and medicinal chemists to draft patent applications and manage structural characterization data. Currently, as a Patent Examiner at the USPTO, Heather evaluates chemistry patent applications, conducts prior art searches, and assesses the scope of claims. Previous experience also includes roles as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant and Student Researcher at Point Loma Nazarene University, where Heather utilized analytical tools to study compounds in soft coral.
