Early in their career, Jay worked in news photojournalism for several prominent organizations, including The Boston Globe and The Washington Post, which shaped their understanding of visual media's impact. At the USPTO, Jay has transformed visual storytelling and is a founding member of the Journeys of Innovation series, highlighting the narratives of influential inventors and entrepreneurs. Jay holds a B.A. in Latin American History and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Minnesota.
