Mark Heim

Mark Heim serves as a Patent Examiner GS-9 at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) since May 2023, focusing on patent applications related to autonomous vehicles in Art Unit 3668. Prior to this role, Mark worked as a Product Development Engineer at Medical Positioning, Inc. from April 2022 to May 2023, where early prototype designs for next-generation Echo Tables were developed. Mark's experience also includes positions as a Mechanical Engineer 2 at Honeywell, where responsibilities involved interfacing with various stakeholders and delivering specialized gages to meet design requirements, as well as earlier roles as a Mechanical Engineer 1 and SolidWorks Drafter. Additionally, Mark volunteered as a Mechanical Engineer at Freedom Technologies and completed an internship at Watco Manufacturing Company. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas, earned in May 2019.
