Michael Valek

Michael Valek is an Administrative Patent Judge at the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board, where they adjudicate complex disputes involving patent law. With over 15 years of experience as a patent litigator, Michael has previously held positions as Of Counsel at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Partner at Vinson and Elkins. They also clerked for the Honorable Timothy Dyk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Michael earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona and a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.
