Tho Tran

Tho Tran is a seasoned professional in the field of biomedical and medical engineering, currently serving as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office since November 2010, focusing on patent prosecution for medical devices. Prior to this role, Tho Tran held the position of Senior Engineer at Isto Biologics from 2002 to 2010, where expertise was developed in medical devices and orthobiologics, encompassing research, development, manufacturing, and product launch activities. Tho Tran also contributed to the development of tissue engineered products as an R&D Engineer II at Organogenesis Inc from 1998 to 2002, and had earlier experience in blood analysis devices during a co-op position at Ciba Corning / Chiron Diagnostics. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Boston University College of Engineering.
