Troy Tyler

Troy Tyler has extensive experience in legal and administrative roles within the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the US Army. As a Board Executive at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board since January 2020, Troy has also served as Acting Board Executive, overseeing budget management and supporting documentation for PTAB budget submissions. Prior positions at USPTO included Chief Clerk of the Board, supervising a team of 38 paralegals, and Administrative Officer, where responsibilities included managing PTAB budgets. In the US Army, Troy held the role of JAGC Regimental Command Sergeant Major, advising senior military attorneys and managing the development of over 4,100 Army paralegals. Educational qualifications include a MBA from TUI University and a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior University, along with a leadership certificate from the Federal Executives Institute.
