David Eikenburg is an accomplished nuclear operations analyst with extensive experience in strategic command and military operations. Currently serving at United States Strategic Command since October 2020, Eikenburg has previously held roles as an NC3 analyst at Constellation West and as an exercise planner at Booz Allen Hamilton. A distinguished career in the United States Air Force, spanning nearly two decades, involved key positions such as Chief of Nuclear Plans and Programs, Deputy Chief of the Missile and Space Domain, and ICBM Mission Area Expert, where Eikenburg advised senior leaders on nuclear force management and operations. Eikenburg holds a Master of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Wyoming and a Bachelor of Arts in the same field from Ohio University.

The commander of USSTRATCOM serves as the senior commander of unified military forces from all four branches of the military assigned to the command.
