James Vincent

Chief, Infrastructure Management at United States Strategic Command

James Vincent has a diverse work experience primarily in the fields of IT and cybersecurity. James is currently working as the Chief of Infrastructure Management at the United States Strategic Command since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Specialist at the same organization from August 2021 to October 2022. Before joining USSTRATCOM, James worked as a Cyber Security Analyst at Artemis Incorporated from August 2020 to August 2021 and at Peerless Technologies from April 2020 to August 2020. James also served as an Information Assurance Security Specialist/Defense of Cyber Operations at Perspecta from December 2018 to April 2020. In addition, James has experience working at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Space Subject Matter Expert from July 2017 to December 2018, as a GSIN Configuration Manager from December 2015 to July 2017, and as a Joint Force Space Expert from August 2015 to December 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Missile Warning Controller at USSTRATCOM from December 2013 to August 2015 and as a Missile and Space Non-commissioned Officer at NORTHCOM/NORAD from November 2011 to December 2013. Furthermore, James worked as a Counter Space Technology Operator at the 76th Space Control Squadron from January 2007 to November 2011, as a Missile Warning Duty Officer at the Joint Space Operations Center (USAF) from February 2004 to January 2007, and as a Space Console Operator at the 13th Space Warning Squadron from February 2003 to February 2004. Their work experience spans a wide range of responsibilities in the field of IT, cybersecurity, and space operations.

James Vincent has a diverse education history. James obtained a Master's degree in Cyber Security from Bellevue University, where they studied from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Management Information Systems with a cognate in Information Assurance from Liberty University, graduating in 2018. Between 2000 and 2006, James attended the Community College of the Air Force, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Missile and Space Systems Technology.

In addition to their formal education, James Vincent has achieved certifications in the field of cybersecurity. James obtained the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council in May 2020 and the security+ certification from CompTIA in February 2020.
