Nathan Brown is a seasoned analyst with extensive experience in cyber and geopolitical intelligence. Currently serving as a Senior Analyst in Cyber at the United States Strategic Command since 2010, Nathan leads teams in strategic, operational, and tactical-level cyber threat planning, collaborating across various departments to enhance decision-making capabilities for military personnel. Previously, Nathan held the position of Senior Analyst (Afghanistan) at the United States Department of Defense, where strategic assessments were provided to senior US policymakers. Early career experience includes working as an Open-Source Analyst at Stratfor, focusing on Middle East intelligence, and serving as a Teaching Fellow at the Casablanca American School. Nathan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard University and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Kentucky, alongside additional training at the USAF Air Command and Staff College.

The commander of USSTRATCOM serves as the senior commander of unified military forces from all four branches of the military assigned to the command. The USSTRATCOM commander is the leader, steward and advocate of the nation's strategic capabilities. USSTRATCOM integrates and coordinates the necessary command and control capability to provide support with the most accurate and timely information for the President, the Secretary of Defense, other national leadership and combatant commanders. USSTRATCOM combines the synergy of the U.S. legacy nuclear command and control mission with responsibility for space operations; global strike; global missile defense; and global command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR).
