Travis Wood

Travis Wood is a seasoned leader and nuclear engineer currently serving as a Captain and Division Chief at USSTRATCOM, where they deliver advanced warfighting capabilities to the Joint Force. Previously, as the Commanding Officer of the USS MAINE (GOLD), they led a nuclear-powered warship responsible for critical national security missions. With over 25 years of experience in the US Navy, Travis has held numerous leadership positions, including Special Operations Officer and Director of Engineering at the TRIDENT Training Facility, where they trained over 100 junior officers. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the United States Naval Academy and have received multiple awards for their service, including the Nuclear Engineer Officer certification.
