Global Head of Legal Services at UST

Catherine Gardner has over 25 years of experience leading successful corporate change initiatives in global companies including creating legal services functions in two companies during her career. She joined UST Global in 2009 and became UST Global’s Head of Legal Services, leading a global team of lawyers and associated paralegals and administrative employees. Catherine has extensive experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Governance and Contracts. As Global Head of Legal Services, Catherine oversees UST Global’s legal support for contracts, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, intellectual property, privacy, compliance, governance, and labor and employment. Catherine is the Corporate Secretary of the Board of Directors of UST Global Inc and several of its US subsidiaries.

Prior to joining UST Global, Catherine was a corporate officer with the North American division of British retailer WH Smith PLC, serving an Executive Vice President and as a member of the boards of the WH Smith companies in North America.

Catherine is an active member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, British-American Business Council of Georgia, Women in Technology International and the Tulane University Alumni association.

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University and a Doctor of Law degree from Emory University School of Law.
