Igor Wiese is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Technology - Paraná (UTFPR), Brazil, where they have been teaching since 2008. Igor completed a PhD in Computer Science at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of São Paulo in March 2016. They served as a post-doctoral scholar at Northern Arizona University from July 2019 to February 2021 and were a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Irvine, from July 2013 to January 2014. Igor's research interests include the intersection of Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, and Computer Supported Cooperative Work, with a focus on supporting newcomers to Open Source Software development. They currently oversee two projects related to mining worked examples to enhance software engineering education.
