Ricardo Reis holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná and both a master's and doctorate in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Informatics from the Federal Technological University of Paraná. From 1994 to 2022, they served as a professor and researcher in Materials Engineering at UTFPR, while also coordinating the Integrated Mechanical Technical Education course and overseeing various laboratories. Currently, they are the Coordinator of the Integrated Mechanical Technical Education course at the same institution, focusing on topics such as mechanical characterization and plasma nitriding in stainless steels.
