Steven Grendel has extensive experience in the engineering and technology sectors, beginning as a Senior Engineer and Hardware Engineer at TXU from September 1992 to August 1996, where responsibilities included project management for interconnecting new generation and transmission to the TXU electricity grid and technical support for the SCADA/AGC system. Subsequently, Grendel held various roles at ERCOT from July 2007 to February 2015, culminating in the position of Director of Facilities and Site Development, overseeing strategic planning and development for technical facilities, including the successful expansion of a data center and the construction of two new tier three data centers. In addition, Grendel served as Senior Consultant at Utilicast since March 2015. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
