David Lang

UX Practice Lead at Utility Warehouse

David Lang has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of user experience and strategy. David currently holds the position of UX Practice Lead at Utility Warehouse since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a User Experience Designer at MMT Digital from August 2019 to May 2021 and as a User Experience Consultant at Vodafone Business from August 2019 to September 2020.

Before focusing on user experience, David gained experience as a UX Designer at NDP Studio from October 2018 to August 2019 and as a Contract UX Designer at JUST - UX Design in August and October 2018. David also completed the User Experience Design Immersive program at General Assembly from March to May 2018.

David's career started in strategic roles, where they served as a Director and Senior Manager of Strategy at Golin, working with clients such as EY and Adobe, from September 2017 to January 2018, and from June 2016 to August 2017, respectively. David also had contract roles as a Data Analyst and Social Strategist at freuds in October and December 2015, and as a Digital Strategist at Waggener Edstrom Communications from April to September 2015.

Prior to their strategic roles, David worked as a Digital Strategist at John Brown Media Group, where their key responsibilities included developing digital communications strategies for brands such as John Lewis, Waitrose, and Chelsea FC, from September 2013 to March 2015. David also served as a Digital Insight Manager, responsible for web analytics and reporting, and a Senior Digital Account Manager during their tenure at the company from June 2011 to September 2013.

David Lang obtained their User Experience Design Immersive degree from General Assembly in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Chartered Institute of Marketing Postgrad Diploma from London Metropolitan University in 2009 and an MA in Publishing from the University of the Arts London in 2004. David started their educational journey with a BA in English Literature from the University of Southampton in 2001. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications, including a variety of courses on Lynda.com related to marketing, SEO, social media, and user experience design.
