Mathew Shepherd

Mathew Shepherd is an experienced commercial leader with a proven track record across various sectors, including utilities, retail, and insurance. Currently serving as the Commercial Development Director at Utility Warehouse since July 2022, Mathew has held significant positions such as Head of Financial Services Insurance and Head of Commercial at John Lewis & Partners from July 2019 to July 2022. Prior roles include Group Marketing Director and Commercial Director at ATG, Commercial Director and Director of Telecommunications at uSwitch.com, and Director of Propositions (interim) at SSE plc. Mathew has also served as Commercial Director at Laithwaites Wine and Chief Marketing Officer at Cigna Insurance Services. With a strong foundation in sales, marketing, and commercial strategy, Mathew's career began at Hastings Direct Insurance and includes leadership roles at British Gas and RAC Motoring Services.
