Dennis Walsh has over 40 years of work experience in the utility and energy industry. Dennis began their career as a Field Engineer at New York City Transit in 1974. Dennis then spent 10 years with Brooklyn Union Gas/KeySpan, holding various engineering staff and field engineering positions and eventually rising to Principal Engineer. During this time, they designed and managed projects, created and managed budgets, and acted as a liaison with city agencies and contractors.
In 1986, Walsh joined KeySpan as a Director, managing a section with a budget of $25 million and overseeing the maintenance and construction of company facilities. Dennis led a task force aimed at reducing installation costs using trenchless technology.
From 1992 to 2005, Walsh held several positions at KeySpan Energy Company, including Quality Manager and Principal Engineer. Dennis directed the Quality Management Services area and facilitated the implementation of a quality system for the Gas Business Unit. Dennis also conducted long-range system planning and analysis, designed and managed projects for pipeline expansion, and made recommendations for system operations.
In 2002, Walsh was Vice President at KeySpan Home Energy Services, accountable for the division's P&L and leading efforts to increase gross profit margin and sales while reducing costs.
From 2006 to 2009, Walsh worked as a Senior Project Manager at CMX, where they managed projects for major utilities and energy companies, including overhead electric facility relocations, gas main installations, and environmental remediation projects.
From 2009 to 2016, Walsh joined Woodard & Curran as a Principal and Service Line Leader for Natural Gas Services, responsible for leading the natural gas service line and supporting ongoing projects. Dennis also designed multiple Horizontal Directional Drilling projects and was involved in gas engineering projects in New York City.
Since 2016, Walsh has been working as a Senior Project Manager in the HDD division at Utility.
Dennis Walsh completed their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Dayton from 1969 to 1974. Dennis then pursued a Master's degree in Management of Technology from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering, graduating between 1999 and 2001.
