Ian Rickman has a diverse work experience in manufacturing engineering. Ian began their career in 2001 at EADS Astrium, providing support in product manufacturing, processes, tooling, equipment, and documentation. Ian continued this role until 2007. Ian then joined Elekta, where they worked as a manufacturing/test engineer, resolving technical issues, improving first-time yields, and managing test documentation. From 2009 to 2010, they returned to EADS Astrium, offering support to their clean-room and hybrid facility. Ian then rejoined Elekta and held various engineering roles, including supporting industrial engineering and supplier quality, ensuring RoHS compliance, and managing test-related documentation. In 2012, Ian joined Cobham Tactical Communications and Surveillance and supported outsourcing projects and data cleansing. Ian later returned to Elekta in 2014 as a lead test development engineer, focusing on resolving technical issues and improving product yields. In 2016, they joined Airbus Defence and Space and provided manufacturing support to their clean-room and hybrid facility. Ian then worked at Eaton from 2019 to 2020, supporting electro-mechanical assemblies and liaising with quality assurance. Most recently, they have been working at Domo Tactical Communications as a manufacturing engineer, responsible for new product introduction, bill of materials creation, cable designs, work instructions, and product maintenance.

Ian Rickman attended Highbury Technical College from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Ian returned to the same college from 1995 to 1997, this time earning an HNC in the same field of study.
