Adhish Gurung

Adhish Gurung has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Communications and Development Assistant at Adhikaar. In 2017, they took on the roles of Project Manager and Marketing Manager at Future Works Building Solutions. In 2019, they became a Communications and Development Officer at Amsterdam Fossil Free. In 2020, Gurung joined People's Alliance for Nature Nepal as a Strategy and Communications Officer. Adhish then worked as a Senior Researcher at Utopia from June to November 2021 before moving on to their current role as the Head of Communications at Utopia. Throughout their career, Gurung has also served as a Report Writer at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in 2021.

Adhish Gurung completed their Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from The New School from 2007 to 2010. Adhish later pursued a Master of Science (MS) in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Amsterdam, which they obtained from 2018 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Adhish has obtained various certifications. In November 2021, they acquired a certification in Monitoring and Evaluation Fundamentals from USAID. In April 2020, they completed the CESBE1x: Circular Economy for a Sustainable Built Environment certification from Technische Universiteit Delft. Adhish also attended a Permaculture Design Course at HASERA in September 2012.
