Sofie Ferwerda is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University since March 2021, focusing on research related to micro-spectroscopy of coke formation in methane dry reforming catalysis under the supervision of Dr. M. Previously, Sofie worked as a research and development intern at BASF from October 2020 to February 2021, where the preparation of shaped catalyst materials was undertaken. Sofie also served as a teaching assistant at Utrecht University from September 2019 to July 2020, contributing to the development of the first-year physical chemistry course and supervising tutorial classes. Sofie holds a Master of Science in Nanomaterials and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, both obtained from Utrecht University.
