John Winn has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. John began their career at EY in 1998 as a Senior Consultant and remained in this role until 2001. John then transitioned to the U.S. House of Representatives, where they served as a Legislative Assistant from 2001 to 2002. Following this, they worked at Cooley LLP as an Attorney for eight years, starting in 2005 and leaving in 2013. Since 2013, John has been associated with UVIMCO, where they hold the position of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

John Winn obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University, where they attended from 1994 to 1998. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at the University of Virginia School of Law, completing their legal education from 2002 to 2005.
