Gertjan

Gertjan Gert-Jan Kaspers is a distinguished professional in pediatric oncology, currently serving as Director of Máxima International at Prinses Máxima Centrum voor Kinderoncologie since January 2025. Kaspers has been the Head and Professor of Pediatric Oncology at VUmc since 2002 and has held visiting professorships at UZ Gent, Universitas Gadja Mada, and Moi University. Previously, Kaspers directed the Prinses Máxima Centrum ACADEMY from 2013 to 2025, focusing on training and education within pediatric oncology. Kaspers was a member of the supervisory board at Stichting Kinderoncologie Nederland from 2005 to 2020 and served as Deputy Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at VU medisch centrum from 2010 to 2013. Kaspers earned a PhD in Medicine from VU University Amsterdam and an MD from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
