Sharon Jakobs is a Steering Committee member of the EuroELSO European Chapter of ELSO, a position held since April 2025. Prior experience includes working as a verpleegkundige and IC-verpleegkundige at UZ Brussel from 2015 to 2017, and serving as a perfusionist at UZA since 2018. Sharon Jakobs holds a Bachelor's degree in Geriatric Nursing from Odisee and a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Additionally, a postgraduate degree in Theoretical Basic Knowledge of Extracorporeal Techniques was obtained from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven). Currently, Sharon Jakobs is pursuing a Master's degree in Epidemiology at Universiteit Antwerpen, expected to be completed in 2024.
