Vinod Balakrishnan

Vinod Balakrishnan has over nine years of work experience in various roles within the software engineering field. Vinod is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at V-Nova Ltd. since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Engineering Manager - India at V-Nova Ltd. from April 2018 to December 2022.

Before joining V-Nova Ltd., Vinod worked as an Engineering Manager at fastfilmz from March 2017 to April 2018. Vinod also served as an Automation Team Lead at ByDesign India Pvt Ltd from May 2016 to March 2017, where they worked on the development of PSI-SI Tables generator for DVB-C and DVBS2, as well as iCAS Deployment at DoorDarshan Satellite uplink Station - Todapur - Delhi. Vinod also worked on automation and QA for Digital Headend with integration of iCAS.

Earlier in their career, Vinod served as a QA Engineer Headend Operations at ByDesign India Pvt Ltd from January 2015 to May 2016. Vinod worked on Lebara Digital OTT Platform Setup and integration with Amazon Cloud (AWS) as an OTT SOC Engineer at Lebara Limited from November 2014 to January 2015.

Vinod's work experience also includes a role as an Assistant Manager at Reliance Communications from February 2012 to November 2014. In this role, they were responsible for Headend-CAS Operations in Reliance Digital TV, implementing technical modifications in IPTV/DTH Headend, and coordinating with various vendors to improve performance and stability.

Vinod Balakrishnan completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Telecommunication from Mumbai University, graduating in 2011. In 2017, they obtained the Google Widevine Certification (CWIP) from Google.
