Mike Gainer

Mike Gainer has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Mike most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for V SHRED, starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they were a Board Member at Brighter Electrical starting in September 2021.

In 2020, Mike worked at FlashParking, a company in the mobility and smart cities industries, where they held the position of Chief Financial Officer and VP M&A. During their time there, they played a crucial role in expanding the company's range of services and improving its financial standing.

From 2017 to 2020, Mike worked at Austin Lake Technologies, a private equity asset manager. Mike initially joined as a Vice President & Operating Executive, responsible for post-merger integration activities. Later, they took on the role of Portfolio Company Co-CEO & Chief Financial Officer for one of the company's portfolio companies, leading a successful turnaround effort.

Before their time at Austin Lake Technologies, Mike worked at E78 Partners, formerly known as 9G, as a Director of Transaction Advisory Services. In this role, they supported M&A consulting, as well as serving as a CFO on the Financial Advisory Services team. Mike also had a role on the 9Gauge Executive Leadership Team.

In 2013 and 2014, Mike served as the Chief Financial Officer at Alchemy Systems, where they played a strategic role in managing the company's finances and international operations.

Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Dell, starting in 2004. At Dell, they held various finance roles, including Finance Director & Division CFO for the Dell|Compellent Product Division. Mike also served as Finance Director for Strategy & M&A in the Enterprise Solutions Group Finance, overseeing financial aspects of acquisitions. Additionally, they had the role of Storage/Networking Line Of Business Controller, responsible for financial operations and strategic product planning.

Before Dell, Mike worked at First National Bank Texas, where they were a Vice President in Finance, responsible for financial reporting and special projects.

In the early stages of their career, Mike owned their own company called Gainer & Gainer, providing finance and accounting services to companies in the Austin area. Mike also worked as a Controller at Hand Technologies, where they had financial and operational responsibilities.

Mike Gainer obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from Texas Tech University in 1991. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from The University of Texas at Austin, completing it in 2003.
