Chad Friend is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in dynamic positioning and port operations. Currently serving as Port Captain at V2X Inc since April 2024, Chad has previously held significant positions including Senior DPO at Helix Energy Solutions Group and Dynamic Positioning roles at Noble Drilling and Seadrill Americas. Chad began a maritime career as Captain at Belterra Casino Resort and briefly served as Chief Mate at Marine Spill Response Corporation. Educationally, Chad earned a Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science from Maine Maritime Academy, graduating in 1996.
