Joel Gegner

Joel Gegner is an experienced electrical engineer and educator currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Taylor University and a Principal Electrical Engineer at V2X Inc since January 2023. With a career spanning over three decades, Gegner has held key positions, including Principal Electrical Engineer at The Vertex Company and Raytheon Intelligence & Space, where expertise included power and analog systems, digital power firmware architecture, and program support. Prior to these roles, Gegner was a tenured Assistant Professor at Taylor University, contributing to curriculum development and ABET accreditation efforts. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Wheaton College. Additionally, Gegner has a history of consultancy through Gegner Engineering and has held significant technical roles at Crown Audio and Motorola.
