John E. Leonard is SVP Development at Vaccinex. John has over 20 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, including serving as Vice President, Program Executive at Biogen Idec. John is a highly respected consultant in the areas of manufacturing, quality and regulatory affairs.

John E. Leonard has a PhD in Biochemistry; Cell Biology from the University of California, Riverside and an MS in Chemistry from California State University, Long Beach.

John E. Leonard reports to Maurice Zauderer, President & CEO. They work with Scott E. Royer - CFO, Ernest S. Smith - SVP Research & Chief Scientific Officer, and Elizabeth E. Evans - SVP, Discovery & Translational Medicine.
