Ricardo Velazquez

Ricardo Velazquez is a seasoned Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in network security and architecture across various organizations. Currently at VAE, Inc. since January 2014, Ricardo focuses on Transport Security Engineering, leading migration efforts of legacy firewalls to modern JRSS environments. Previous roles include Senior Network Engineer at Tangible Software, where Ricardo contributed to LAN and WAN network security systems for a DoD organization, and as a Network Consultant at InfoReliance, providing tier 3 support for the Marine Corps Recruiting Center's internal network. Ricardo's earlier experience features positions such as Network Architecture Engineer at ExecuTech, directly involved in developing new technologies for the CBP network, and Senior WAN Engineer roles at QinetiQ and Technisource, supporting the unified network for DHS. Ricardo began a career in networking at ManTech IS&T from 2000 to 2007 and holds an Associate Degree in Network Management and Security from Stratford University.
