Qingda Hu has a diverse work experience in research and teaching. They started their career as a Research Student at the University of Toronto's Lab of David Irwin in 2012. They later became a Research Student at the University of Toronto's Lab of JoAnne McLaurin in 2013, followed by a transition to becoming a Masters Student in the same lab in 2014. In 2016, Qingda had a brief rotation as a PhD student at the Laboratory of Dr. Steven Allison. They then continued their PhD studies at the Laboratory of Dr. Zeba Wunderlich in 2017, followed by a rotation at the Laboratory of Dr. Albert Siryaporn in the same year. Alongside their studies, Qingda also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Biomedical Signals and Systems course at UC Irvine from 2017 to 2019. In 2021, they took on the role of an Instructor of Record for the Engineering Analysis/Design course, also at UC Irvine. Currently, Qingda is working as a Research Scientist and Engineer at Vala Sciences starting from June 2022.
Qingda Hu began their education by completing high school at A. Y. Jackson SS from 2007 to 2010. They then attended OSCSS in 2010 to earn their OSSD. Qingda went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto - University College from 2010 to 2014. Afterward, they pursued a Master's Degree in Alzheimer's Disease at the University of Toronto from 2014 to 2016. Their educational journey concluded with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Systems Biology from UC Irvine, which they completed from 2016 to 2022.
