Sonat Sen

Sonat Sen is an accomplished nuclear engineer with extensive experience in advanced reactor design and analysis. They served as Chief Nuclear Engineer at PBMR, managing reactor steady state analyses and leading significant projects in reactor technology. As R&D Staff Scientist at Idaho National Laboratory, they advanced reactor core design and code development while also contributing to various high-temperature gas-cooled reactor initiatives. Currently, Sonat is a Principal Nuclear Engineer at Valar Atomics and previously held leadership roles at X-energy, where they directed engineering teams and ensured the successful development of nuclear facilities. Sonat holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering.
