Sam James is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in strategy, technology, and innovation within the sports and performance industry. Currently serving as Chief Strategy Officer at VALD since October 2020, Sam previously held multiple leadership roles at Vald Performance, including Director of Europe, Director of Client Relations and Marketing, and Chief Technology Officer from December 2014 to June 2021. As the Founder and Managing Director of Blucore from July 2013 to October 2020, Sam developed intelligent products for swimmers, notably the flagship Corsuit. Academic credentials include a Graduate Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design from Queensland University of Technology, alongside foundational education at Brisbane Grammar School.
