Vale Lab is an R&D-led engineering laboratory advancing cold chain systems for temperature-sensitive medicines. We develop repeatable methods, tools, and platforms, backed by independent testing and high-quality measurement, to reduce hidden risk in real-world conditions.

Our work spans three complementary areas:

Cold chain engineering and standardised system architecture
We develop robust thermal architectures, material strategies, and design rules engineered for repeatability, manufacturability, and broad adoption.

Independent testing, measurement and validation
We deliver independent laboratory and field testing to characterise real thermal behaviour, limits, margins, and variability. We also enable fair, side-by-side comparisons between solutions using consistent methods, supporting confident selection and validation decisions beyond vendor-provided results.

Cold chain intelligence, instrumentation and automation
We build sensing strategies, IoT connectivity, and automated test workflows to reveal how systems behave across lab and operational environments, turning measurements into actionable insight and repeatable methods.

Vale Lab develops IP in-house with the intent to license it to OEM partners for manufacture and commercialisation, and we also co-create with partners where appropriate. Our goal is to raise industry standards through evidence-led engineering, independent validation, and practical innovation that improves confidence in cold chain performance across clinical trials and patient supply.
