Afonso Costa is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the mining, chemical, and petrochemical industries, specializing in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Asset Integrity Management (AIM) practices. They have held significant roles, including Corporate Process Safety Specialist and Process Safety Technical Manager at Vale, where they focused on incident investigations, safety procedures, and team training. Afonso has also worked with companies such as The Dow Chemical Company, RSE, and Braskem, contributing to PSM initiatives and mechanical integrity compliance across multiple countries.
