Alex Cheyne is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in navigation and chartering within the maritime industry. Currently serving as a Master Navigation Analyst at Vale since November 2011, Alex has previously held positions including Senior Navigation Analyst and Navigation Experienced Specialist. Prior to Vale, Alex worked at JITF Waterways Ltd as an Assistant Manager, focusing on Spot Chartering and post-fixture activities. Experience includes an Operations Manager role at W R Grace and Co (India) Private Limited, where operational processes for fleet vessels were enhanced, as well as roles at Interline Global Logistics and Parekh Marine Services, managing cargo bookings and chartering activities. Alex began career in shipping with Interocean Group and has foundational experience in claim processing at IBM Daksh. Educational credentials include an MBA in International Management from Pondicherry University and a B.Sc in Computer Science from St. Xavier's College.
