Fátima Chagas

Fátima Chagas is the General Manager of Socioeconomic Reparation at Vale S.A., a position held since 2023. Previously, they served as the General Manager of Repair and Compensation for Municipalities at Vale from July 2019. Fátima has extensive experience in water resource management, sustainability, and environmental policies, having held various significant roles including the Executive Director at the Instituto Mineiro de Gestão das Águas and a consultant for numerous public and private entities. They earned a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Hydrology and Water Resources from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, as well as a postgraduate degree in Dam Hydraulics from the Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto.
