Laís Assis

Laís Assis is a geotechnical engineer with a Doctorate in Civil Engineering focused on Geotechnics from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa. They have approximately ten years of experience in risk management and currently serve as the Coordinator of Risk Management and Process Safety at Vale, leading a team that addresses business, operational, and non-operational risks. Previously, Laís held various roles, including Environmental Engineer at DNIT and Government of the State of Minas Gerais, where they were involved in dam management and environmental auditing. They also teach Introduction to Geological-Geotechnical Cartography at Effyía - Escola da Engenharia.
