Leandro Dijon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in ironmaking and metallurgical engineering. Currently serving as Global Technical Manager for Direct Reduction at Vale since January 2019, Leandro has focused on enhancing ironmaking operations and implementing briquetting strategies. Previous roles include Interim Technical Manager for the EU Market and Technical Marketing, where Leandro contributed to market assessments and analyzed innovations in the steel industry. Prior to Vale, Leandro held positions at ArcelorMittal Global R&D as an Ironmaking Research Engineer, developing models to boost blast furnace performance, and gained foundational experience at CSN and RHI AG. Leandro's academic background includes a Ph.D. in CFD & Mass Transfer from Université de Bordeaux, an Executive MBA from London Business School, and several leadership and business strategy certifications from Harvard Business School.
