Lucas Duarte

Lucas Duarte has extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, currently serving as General Manager - Geotechnical, Global at Vale since September 2019, after previously holding the role of Manager - Geotechnical, Global at the same company. Prior professional experience includes serving as Project Director - Geotechnical at WSP from July 2011 to September 2019, as well as roles as a Geotechnical Engineer at Pimenta de Avila Consultoria and H Miranda Engenharia from July 2009 to June 2011 and August 2006 to July 2009, respectively. Early career experience includes a position as Trainee Project Management at ArcelorMittal France and Trainee Geotechnical Engineer at Progeo Engenharia Ltda. Lucas Duarte holds a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, as well as completed an exchange program in Project Management at Ecole nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
