Luciano Assis is the General Manager in Geomechanics and Hydrogeology at Vale S.A. They have extensive experience in exploratory programs for iron ore, base metals, diamonds, and industrial rocks and minerals. Previously, Luciano served as a geologist at Vale from 2008 to 2022, where they led near-mine exploration programs and coordinated environmental activities. Luciano also held positions as a mineral resources specialist at DNPM and as a geologist at Omega Gama Mineração and Cava Brasil Ltda, contributing to various geotechnical and environmental projects. They earned a Master's in Mineral Resources from the University of Brasília and a degree in Geological Engineering from UFOP.
