Rafael Xavier

Rafael Xavier is currently the Coordenador de Geociências at Vale, overseeing short-term geology and topography for the Fábrica and Viga mines. They previously worked as a Senior Geosciences Specialist at Tetra Tech, where they conducted technical analyses and geological assessments. Rafael gained significant experience at Kinross Gold Corporation, progressing from Junior Geologist to Senior Geologist, where they led ore control efforts and improved geological modeling. Their academic background includes a degree in Geology from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and ongoing graduate studies in project management. Additionally, Rafael has managed a family business in precious stones and jewelry since 2007.
