Robson Sousa

Robson Sousa is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in compliance and governance, currently serving as the General Manager, Compliance for the Department of Capital Projects at Vale since December 2003. In this role, Robson is responsible for the development of the Annual Audit Plan for the Carajás S11D Iron Ore Project, the largest iron ore project globally with a CAPEX of USD 8 billion. Previous positions at Vale include Senior Manager for Governance and Implementation Support, Manager of Compliance for Ferrous Projects, and Senior Internal Auditor, where responsibilities ranged from coordinating large-scale project activities to conducting audit analyses and compliance evaluations. Prior to Vale, Robson held roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, BTG Pactual, and KPMG, focusing on auditing, financial controls, and risk management. Robson holds an Executive MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral, an MBA in Finance from Ibmec, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
