Sebastian Garside

Sebastian Garside is an accomplished human resources executive with extensive experience in the mining and energy sectors. Currently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer for Base Metals at Vale since July 2022, Garside previously held leadership roles as Vice President of Human Resources and Indigenous Affairs at Impala Canada, and Senior Director of Human Resources at Barrick Gold Corporation, a global leader in gold mining with operations in 15 countries. Other notable positions include Vice President of Human Resources at Shawcor and HR Director for Global Talent at Kinross Gold Corporation. Garside began a career in recruitment and HR management with various companies, demonstrating a strong commitment to talent acquisition and organizational success.
