Stefan Gueorguiev

Stefan Gueorguiev, P.Eng., holds extensive experience in engineering and project management across various industries, including mining and construction. Currently serving as the Director of Studies and Engineering at Vale since August 2023, Stefan previously worked as Project Director for the Steensby Expansion Project at Baffinland and General Manager for the Simandou Project at Rio Tinto, overseeing significant infrastructure projects such as heavy haul railways and processing plants. Additional roles include Project Director for Ausenco's Hardrock Gold Project and Vice President of Project Management at POLYUS, responsible for a substantial investment portfolio. Stefan's career began with project management positions at AMEC and RSA, with a strong academic foundation in project management and civil engineering from Penn State University and the University of Structural Engineering & Architecture, respectively.
