Sudip Das

Sudip Das is a Lead Research Engineer at Valeo since March 2023, specializing in computer vision and deep learning to enhance automotive parking and driving perceptions by aligning business objectives with research needs. Previously, Sudip held roles as a Senior Research Engineer at Valeo, where contributions were made to the DSW product line, and as a Lead Research Engineer at HCL Engineering and R&D Services, focusing on Document Image Analysis and Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Additional experience includes a position as a Data Scientist at Aviso AI, a Visiting Scholar at KAUST, and a Researcher at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, where work revolved around machine learning and object recognition. Sudip has also been actively involved as a member of the British Machine Vision Association, Society for Pattern Recognition, and IEEE Signal Processing Society. Sudip earned an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal.
