Cary Blocker has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 1997 with BNSF Railway as an IT Consultant. Cary designed and developed the Hazmat Tracking & Reporting System and developed server modules for the Locomotive Management System. In 1999, they worked as an IT Consultant for Sprint, where they developed applications using COBOL.

From 2000 to 2002, Cary worked at HealthMarkets as a Sr Programmer/Analyst, designing and developing mainframe and client/server based applications. Cary was also part of a team that developed an IVR phone system to improve customer self-service capabilities.

Cary then joined DynCorp International in 2002 as a Systems Devl Specialist Sr/DBA, where they developed ETL interfaces using SQL Server DTS and designed extracts and interfaces for legacy systems. Cary also developed Web Services for accessing SQL Server databases.

From 2006 to 2008, Cary worked at Epsilon as a Database Administrator/Developer. Cary administered, designed, and deployed SQL Server and Oracle databases and developed ETL interfaces using SQL Server DTS, SSIS, and SQL*Loader.

In 2008, Cary joined Leprechaun, LLC as a Senior Database Administrator, where they administered SQL Server 2005 environments, designed and implemented databases, and developed ETL interfaces using SQL Server SSIS.

From 2010 to 2013, Cary worked at ThinkFinance as a Sr Business Intelligence Developer. Cary designed and implemented databases and data marts using SQL Server 2008 R2 and developed ETL interfaces using Integration Services. Cary also provided after-hours support for nightly Data Warehouse builds.

From 2013 to 2017, Cary worked at MORSCO as the Manager of the Data Solutions Team. Cary built and managed a team of database architects and developers, prioritized projects, and provided mentoring and learning opportunities to the team. Cary also contributed as a hands-on manager, designing and implementing databases and data marts using SQL Server and developing ETL interfaces and reports.

From 2017 to 2023, Cary worked at BorrowWorks as a Senior DBA Developer, and then they joined VALID Systems in 2023 as the Senior Vice President of Database Services.

Cary Blocker attended the University of North Texas from 1982 to 1987, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Administrative Management.
